Now that you’re pregnant, you have a lot to think about… whether you want to be a parent to your baby, have an abortion, or allow someone else to raise your child through adoption. You may not have considered adoption as an acceptable option, but you may want to think about it.
Adoption is a great option if you’re feeling like you can’t (or don’t want to) take care of a baby right now. You can choose parents for your baby and provide the stable future that you may not be able to offer.
You may be thinking that you could never give your child up for adoption after carrying them for an entire pregnancy. We understand your concern. It’s not an easy decision to make, but it’s a much better option than abortion. With adoption, everyone gets a chance at a good life.
There are four different types of adoption in Tucson and you can choose for yourself which one is best:
Confidential (Closed) Adoption: This type of adoption allows you to walk away and have no contact with the baby or their adoptive family.
Semi-Open Adoption: With this adoption, you can exchange letters and pictures through the adoption agency, but will not see the child in person.
Fully Disclosed (Open) Adoption: This type of adoption allows you to have a relationship with your child and their adoptive family.
Relative Adoption: With this type, you can choose a family member of your own to raise your child.
